Owen Blackledge joined the Bears staff in the Summer of 2025 following a playing career that saw him compete for both TCU and Lenoir-Rhyne.
In his first year as a volunteer assistant, the Bears went 37-13-1 (23-9-1 SAC). The team ranked top-40 nationally in strikeouts per nine innings, shutouts, scoring offense, OBP, home runs, slugging percentage, hits, walks, batting average, doubles, and were one of just 17 teams in NCAA Division II to turn a triple play. Eight Bears were named to the All-SAC team, four to an All-Region team, and Matt Procopio became the sixth All-American in program history.
