Lenoir-Rhyne's Lamont Savage Wins The Long Jump At The Orange & Purple Classic

Savage wins with a jump of 23 feet and 9.5 inches

Clemson, S.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne College Men's Track and Field Team wrapped up the 2008 season at the Orange & Purple Classic at the Rock Norman Track on the campus of Clemson University Saturday with sophomore Lamont Savage (Salisbury, N.C./West Rowan HS) winning the long jump.

Savage, who has already qualified as a provisional for the NCAA Division II National Championship, notched a jump of 23 feet and 9.5 inches.

The NCAA Division II National Championships in outdoor track and field will take place May 22-24 in Walnut, California, at Mount San Antonio College.
