Hickory Tuesday
Bears fall to 0-3 on the year
Hickory, N.C. – The No. 36 Tusculum College Men’s Tennis Team (8-1,
1-0) defeated Lenoir-Rhyne College (0-3, 0-2), 9-0, Tuesday in South Atlantic
Conference action at Hickory High School’s Laurie Newman Tennis Center.
The nationally-ranked Pioneers won every match in straight sets en route to
the victory.
Tusculum was led by regionally-ranked doubles team Carlos Garcia and Sergio
Espinosa both of Caracas, Venezuela as they won No. 1 doubles (8-3).
The Bears look to claim their first victory of the season in a home
doubleheader against Spartanburg Methodist on Friday afternoon at 2:30 p.m.
