Rock Hill, S.C. – Lenoir-Rhyne University’s Meredith Lutz has been named to the 2009 South Atlantic Conference Volleyball All-Freshman Team, league officials announced today. Lutz, a freshman setter from Newton, N.C., currently leads the Bears in assists (1,200) and service aces (42).

Newberry, S.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne University Volleyball Team (19-14, 5-11) finished up the 2009 regular season with a 3-0 sweep of Newberry College (18-14, 7-9) Saturday afternoon in a South Atlantic Conference match at Eleazer Arena. The Bears won by scores of 26-24, 25-17 and 26-24.

Hickory, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne University Volleyball Team (18-14, 4-11) celebrated Senior Night in style with a 3-0 sweep of Mars Hill College (11-15, 2-13) Tuesday evening in a South Atlantic Conference match at Shuford Memorial Gymnasium. The Bears won by scores of 25-19, 25-12 and 25-16.
