Lenoir-Rhyne’s Meredith O’Connor Named South Atlantic Conference Softball Pitcher Of The Week

The L-R senior went 7-0 on the mound as the Bears won a share of the 2008 South Atlantic Conference Regular Season Title

Rock Hill, S.C. – Lenoir-Rhyne’s Meredith O’Connor was named the South Atlantic Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week, league officials announced today. This marks the seventh time in O’Connor’s career that she has won weekly accolades.

The senior transfer from Appalachian State University went 7-0 for the week and 6-0 in conference play as the Bears won their third straight South Atlantic Conference Regular Season crown.

O’Connor is now 28-7 on the season and has tallied 283 strikeouts.

The South Atlantic Conference Softball Pitcher and Player of the Week are voted on by the league’s eight sports information directors.
