Lenoir-Rhyne Men’s Soccer Places Three On
All-South Atlantic Conference Teams
Junior Luis Carrizosa also named statistical champion for assists per
match
Rock Hill, S.C. – The South Atlantic Conference announced the 2007
Men’s Soccer All-Conference teams yesterday as a part of the 2007 Food Lion
South Atlantic Conference Men’s Soccer Tournament. Lenoir-Rhyne saw three of its
players named to the all-league squad.
Junior midfielder Luis Carrizosa (North Bergen, N.J./North Bergen HS)
and sophomore defender Aaron Wheeler (Baltimore, Md./Patapsco HS) were
named to the first team while junior defender Gary Higgins (Paisley,
SCOTLAND/St. Andrews Academy) garnered second team accolades.
Carrizosa, who is a three-time all league pick, was also named the
statisticial champion for assists per match. His 10 assists in 18 matches (0.62
per match) led the conference this fall.
The all-conference teams are selected by the league’s eight head coaches.
