L-R junior Rocky Gifford scores the lone goal in a key league road victory for the Bears

Salisbury, N.C. – The No. 18 Lenoir-Rhyne College Men’s Soccer Team (11-1, 1-1) shut out Catawba College (5-6, 1-2), 1-0, Wednesday night in a South Atlantic Conference match at Frock Field in Salisbury, N.C.

Junior forward Rocky Gifford (Lakeland, Fla./George Jenkins HS) scored the lone goal in the contest with just 4:23 remaining. The shot was deflected by the Catawba goalkeeper but had enough steam to get through.
