April 13, 2008 Lenoir-Rhyne Soccer Hosts Spring
Clinic For 100 Local Youth
Hickory, N.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne Men’s and Women’s Soccer Teams hosted
over 100 local youth soccer players for L-R’s annual Spring Soccer Clinic
Sunday. Boys and girls from the ages of four to 16 participated in games and
drills experiencing all the different skills involved in soccer. The clinic was
part of the “Soccer in the Community Program” which Director of Soccer Adrian
Blewitt runs within the L-R soccer programs.
"It’s important that we give back to the kids and families that support our
teams throughout the year and keep our sport growing,” commented Blewitt. The
clinic also promotes the summer soccer camps run by Blewitt and his players,
this year to be held at St. Stephens High School the weeks of June 9-13 and
16-20.
