Tarron Williams ended his third season with Lenoir-Rhyne and oversaw the cornerbacks for the Bears this past fall.
Under Williams, first-year cornerback Myer Nolan earned First-Team All-South Atlantic Conference honors and was named to the All-Super Region 2 Second Team in 2012.
In 2010, Williams was L-R's Assistant Secondary Coach and helped strong safety Marcus Shuford earn South Atlantic Conference Defensive Player-of-the-Year honors.
Williams graduated from Gardner-Webb University in May of 2009 with a bachelor's degree in psychology and a minor in sociology. Williams is currently working towards his master’s degree in school counseling at Lenoir-Rhyne.
Williams was a four-year starter in the Secondary of the Bulldogs' Football Team (2005-09) and was a student assistant coach for Gardner-Webb in 2009.
Williams was also a member of the Gardner-Webb Track and Field Team where he competed in the 100-meter dash and was a member of the 2006 Atlantic Sun Conference Championship Team.
An outstanding student, Williams was named to the Big South Conference Presidential Honor Roll and was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Williams came to the Hickory, N.C., school after serving as an Associate Professional for H.E.L.P., LLC, in Charlotte, N.C., an intensive in-home services organization.
Williams also served as an Exceptional Children Assistant (Autism Department) for E.E. Waddell High School in Charlotte, N.C.
Williams is originally from Brooklyn N.Y., but grew up in Orangeburg, S.C.
