Lenoir-Rhyne Men’s Golf Opens Fall Season With A
Seventh-Place Finish At The Kiawah Island Invitational
Junior Kent George finishes fifth overall to lead the Bears
Kiawah Island, S.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne College Men’s Golf Team opened
the fall season tying for seventh place out of 16 teams at the Kiawah Island
Invitational which concluded Tuesday.
Lenoir-Rhyne shot a 602 (+26) on the par-72 course while Oklahoma Christian
won the event with an even 576.
L-R junior Kent George (Granite Falls, N.C.) was the Bears’ No. 1
golfer on the tournament after finishing fifth with a two-under 142. Armstrong
Atlantic State’s Chris Wolfe took home individual honors after firing a 133
(-11).
Lenoir-Rhyne senior Jakin Fox (Statesville, N.C.) tied for 13th
overall with a 146 (+2).
L-R next competes in the Mid-Carolina Invitational in Prosperity, S.C., on
Saturday.
