Lenoir-Rhyne Men’s Golf Finishes Fourth At The Independent
Collegiate Invitational
Senior Jakin Fox leads the Bears with a 10th-place finish
Etowah, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne College Men’s Golf Team finished
fourth out of 11 teams Tuesday at the Independent Collegiate Invitational at
Etowah Valley Country Club in Etowah, N.C. Brevard College served as the host
school.
L-R shot a 613 (+37) on the par-72, 7,096-yard course while North Greenville
(603, +27) won the tournament.
Lenoir-Rhyne senior Jakin Fox (Statesville, N.C.) tied for 10th with a
152 (+8) to lead the Bears while sophomore Sam Holtsclaw (Spruce Pine,
N.C.) and junior Kent George (Granite Falls, N.C.) shot a 153 (+9) to tie
for 12th overall.
North Greenville’s Brad Caldwell took home individual honors with an even-par
144.
Lenoir-Rhyne hosts the 2008 Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Golf
Tournament next Monday and Tuesday (April 14-15) at the Lake Hickory Country
Club at Catawba Springs.
