Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Golf Finishes Third At The Chick-Fil-A

Junior Kent George places third overall as the Bears' top golfer
Salisbury, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne College Men’s Golf Team placed
third out of nine teams Tuesday at the Chick-Fil-A Intercollegiate at the
Crescent Golf Course in Salisbury, N.C.
L-R shot a 599 (+23) on the par-72, 6,822-yard course while Catawba won the
event with a 593 (+17).
Junior Kent George (Granite Falls, N.C.) was the Bears' top golfer,
shooting an even-par 144 while Catawba's Elliot Blake (141, -3) took home
individual honors.
Lenoir-Rhyne junior Sam Holtsclaw (Spruce Pine, N.C.) tied for fifth with a 148 (+4).
On the women's side, freshman Megan Ulep (Belmont, N.C.) was the
Bears' No. 1 golfer, tying for eighth overall with a 170 (+26).
Lenoir-Rhyne had three golfers competing as individuals in the tournament.
The women's squad next competes at the J. Ralph Hargett Invitational on March
31 and April 1 in Charlotte, N.C. The L-R men, meanwhile, will play at the
Carolina Sands Intercollegiate in White Lake, N.C., on April 5 and 6.
