Lenoir-Rhyne Men’s Golf Finishes Ninth At The Richard
Rendleman Invitational
Senior Jakin Fox shoots a +2 (144) to lead L-R
Salisbury, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne College Men’s Golf Team finished
ninth of 18 schools at the 2008 Richard Rendleman Invitational Tuesday at the Salisbury
Country Club in Salisbury, N.C. The Bears shot a 593 (+25) for the tournament
over the par-71, 6,665-yard course.
Lenoir-Rhyne was led by senior Jakin Fox (Statesville, N.C./West
Iredell HS) as he shot a +2 (144) over the two-day event. Fox finished tied for
12th overall.
Georgia College & State University claimed the team title by shooting a 572
(+4) while Carson-Newman College’s Brad Robinson took home medalist honors with
a -3 (139).
Lenoir-Rhyne will return to action when it and Catawba host the Chick-Fil-A
Intercollegiate in Salisbury, N.C. The tournament will be played March 17-18 at
the Crescent Golf Course.
