Lenoir-Rhyne’s Jesse Beane Named South Atlantic Conference Baseball Pitcher Of The Week

Senior from Collettsville, N.C., went 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA and 11 strikeouts for the Bears last week

Rock Hill, S.C. – Lenoir-Rhyne’s Jesse Beane was named South Atlantic Conference Baseball Pitcher Of The Week, league officials announced today.

Beane, a senior from Collettsville, N.C., went 2-0 for the week with a 0.00 earned run average and 11 strikeouts.

The West Caldwell High School graduate did not allow a run in 9.2 innings pitched and threw 5.2 innings of scoreless baseball to go along with seven strikeouts in Lenoir-Rhyne’s 8-6 win over league-foe Lincoln Memorial Friday night on the road in 11 innings.

Lenoir-Rhyne (15-16) next hosts Limestone on Thursday beginning at 4 p.m.

The South Atlantic Conference Baseball Pitcher and Player of the Week are voted on by the league’s eight sports information directors.
