Brent Heaberlin is beginning
his first year as an
assistant coach with the
Lenoir-Rhyne College
Baseball Team.
Heaberlin will assist with
recruiting and strength &
conditioning and will be in
charge of the catchers and
the L-R Junior Varsity
squad.
Heaberlin comes to L-R after
coaching two seasons
(2006-07) at The University
of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Before last season,
Heaberlin was promoted to
director of baseball
operations for the Trojans.
Heaberlin, a 2005 graduate
of Eastern Illinois
University, also spent two
years as an Assistant
Baseball Coach for EIU
(2004-05).
After beginning his playing
career with Indiana State,
Heaberlin led Parkland
(Ill.) College to the 2002
National Junior College
Athletic Association
National Championship while
earning all-conference,
all-region and all-district
honors. Heaberlin was also
selected to the 2001 NJCAA
World Series All-Tournament
Team.
Heaberlin’s coaching resume
also includes a summer stint
as an Assistant Coach with
the Vermont Mountaineers, a
member of the New England
Collegiate Baseball League. |
