Lenoir-Rhyne Track And Field Takes Home Three First-Place Finishes At The ASICS Winthrop Invitational

Freshman Caleb Kingery won the 800-meter race with a time of 1:58.64 Saturday at the 2010 ASICS Winthrop Invitational in Rock Hill, S.C.
Rock Hill, S.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne University Men's and Women's Track and Field Teams placed first in three events at the 2010 ASICS Winthrop Invitational, which concluded Saturday at the Irwin Belk Track Complex.
For the women, sophomore Kate Griewisch (Banner Elk, N.C.) won the 5,000-meter run with a time of 17:17 while junior Stevie Dellinger (Morganton, N.C.) placed first in the javelin throw (130'04).
Griewisch's first-place finish was her second straight in the 5,000 meters.
On the men's side, freshman Caleb Kingery (Roanoke, Va.) and sophomore Jakob Maidens (Lebanon, Va.) finished first and second in the 800-meter run with times of 1:58.64 and 1:59.81, respectively.
Lenoir-Rhyne next competes in the Duke Invitational on April 2 and 3 in Durham, N.C.
