Pembroke Pines, Fla. - Andrea Rohrscheib, an incoming freshman on the Lenoir-Rhyne University Women’s Soccer Team, will participate in the World Cup qualifying tournament as she will play for the Venezuela U-20 National Team.  The tournament takes place from March 3 to March 17 in Colombia.

Rohrscheib, a 5-8 forward, plays for West Broward High School in Pembroke Pines, Fla., where she led the county in scoring last season.

This will be a great experience for Andrea (Rohrscheib),” said L-R Head Coach Adrian Blewitt.  “It shows we are increasing the talent level at Lenoir-Rhyne.  To now have players on our roster good enough to represent their national team shows our intent as a program.”

The South American tournament provides automatic qualifying places for the Women’s U-20 World Cup this summer in Germany.  Venezuela will play group games against Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay and Peru, with Brazil among the favorites to advance.
