Davidson, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne University Men’s Basketball Team fell to Davidson College by an 87-65 score at John M. Belk Arena Saturday evening in an exhibition affair.

Four Davidson players scored in double figures led by Will Archambault (Montreat, QUEBEC) and Bryant Barr (Falmouth, Maine) with 18 and 17 points, respectively.

Lenoir-Rhyne was led by junior forward D.J. Blackmon (Albemarle, N.C.) with 18 points while sophomore forward Jeff Thomas (Durham, N.C.) also scored in double figures with 10.

Davidson, which jumped out to a 28-5 lead, shot 55 percent from the field and hit 11 three-pointers in the win.

Davidson led by as many as 25 points and 32 percent (nine-of-28) shooting in the first half and forced 21 turnovers.

Lenoir-Rhyne opens the 2009-10 season on Monday, November 16, against Mount Olive at home beginning at 7 p.m.
