Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Soccer Places Three Members On All-SAC First Team

Rock Hill, S.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne University Men’s Soccer Team had three players selected to the All-South Atlantic Conference First Team on Friday during the 2009 Food Lion SAC Championships at Manchester Meadows.
Junior forward Dave Bailey (Bath, ENGLAND), Senior Co-captain Gary Higgins (Paisley, SCOTLAND) and junior defender Jon Abraham (Little Daddesden, ENGLAND) were all honored for their play during the 2009 campaign.
Bailey led L-R with 15 goals during the 2009 season while also leading the SAC in goals per match (0.94). Higgins was second in scoring for the Bears as the midfielder tallied five goals to go along with seven assists on the year.
Abraham scored just one goal on the year but was a stalwart for L-R on defense as he helped to anchor a back line that conceded just 23 goals in 18 games on the year. Abraham started 17 games for the Bears.
