Lakeland, Fla. - The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Lacrosse Team (7-4, 4-1) notched a 12-11 overtime win against Florida Southern (3-6, 1-3) Sunday afternoon at Bryant Stadium in a Deep South Conference match.

L-R junior Tyler Kotch (Butler, Pa.) tallied the game-winning goal 47 seconds into the extra frame and lifted the Bears to their third straight win.

Kotch, who scored twice in the contest, also notched his second game-winning goal in the extra session this season for Lenoir-Rhyne.

Sophomore Ned Kaish (Atlanta, Ga.) and junior Imari Davis (San Diego, Calif.) also finished with two goals each for the Bears, who were able to pull out the victory after taking an 8-3 lead into intermission.

Kotch and Kaish are currently tied with sophomore Connor Squires (Lawrenceville, Ga.) for the team lead in goals this season with 19 total.

Florida Southern's Dane Sorensen (Victoria, British Columbia, Canada) led all scorers with three goals but the Mocs suffered their third consecutive loss.

The Mocs' Shane Tompkins (Bear, Del.) scored both his goals in the fourth and final period including one with 2:05 left in regulation which forced overtime.

Lenoir-Rhyne junior goalkeeper Steven McGhee (Durham, N.C.) improved to 7-1 on the season after picking up the win. McGhee stopped 10 shots on the day while Florida Southern's Sam Hartley (Wilmington, N.C.) took the loss in goal. Hartley made two saves in the contest.

Lenoir-Rhyne returns home to host Rollins in a Deep South Conference match Thursday at 4:00 p.m., at Moretz Stadium while Florida Southern faces Catawba in Salisbury, N.C., on Thursday at 4:00 p.m., as well.
