Melbourne, Fla. - Five players scored twice for the Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Lacrosse Team (6-4, 3-1) en route to an 11-6 victory over Florida Tech (4-7, 2-4) in a Deep South Conference match Friday evening at Hustler Stadium.

L-R took control from the start, rolling out to a 6-0 lead after one period of play and holding on for the victory.

Lenoir-Rhyne junior Imari Davis (San Diego, Calif.) tallied two goals and three assists while junior Sam Ashton (New Market, Md.) also scored a pair of goals to go along with two assists as the Bears won their second straight contest.

Florida Tech cut the lead to 7-5 on a goal by Andrew Conley (Orlando, Fla.) with 9:36 left in the fourth stanza but L-R put the match away with four consecutive goals.

Nick Gardner (Jupiter, Fla.) finished with two goals for the Panthers, who suffered their fifth straight loss.

In goal, Lenoir-Rhyne junior Steven McGhee (Durham, N.C.) earned the win and improved to 6-1 on the year after stopping 10 shots while Florida Tech's Eric Biller (Westminster, Md.) suffered the setback. Biller tallied 11 saves on the night.

L-R juniors Robert Darrow (Fort Myers, Fla.) and Tyler Kotch (Butler, Pa.) and sophomore Jon Hanlon (Haymarket, Va.) all connected with two goals in the win as well for the Bears, who held the edge in both shots taken (38-28) and ground balls (43-37).

Lenoir-Rhyne next faces Florida Southern in a Deep South Conference contest on Sunday in Lakeland, Fla., at 1:00 p.m. Florida Tech hosts MIT next Friday at 5:00 p.m.
