Hickory, N.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne University Women's Lacrosse Team (11-3) picked up a 20-5 victory over Lees-McRae College (1-6) Wednesday afternoon at Moretz Stadium.

L-R freshman Lauren Donovan (Hollywood, Md.) led the way with three goals and a match-high four assists as the Bears won their third consecutive match.

Junior Sarah Minick (Marietta, Ga.) and freshman Mary Minick (Marietta, Ga.) scored three goals each as well for Lenoir-Rhyne, who improved to 8-0 at home this year.  Sarah Minick also added an assist and leads the team in goals scored (40) and total points (57).

Lees-McRae's Katelin Rooney (Naples, Fla.) paced the Bobcats with a pair of goals and an assist in the losing effort.

Lenoir-Rhyne took control from the start as the Bears scored the match's first five goals and finished with a 43-9 edge in shots taken and a 41-16 advantage in ground balls.

L-R freshman goalkeeper Allison Senft (Marietta, Ga.) was credited with the victory while Lees-McRae's Jessica Travers (Asheville, N.C.) suffered the loss.  Travers finished with eight saves for the match despite the setback.

Lenoir-Rhyne remains at home to face Belmont Abbey next Wednesday, April 4, beginning at 3:00 p.m.  The contest will be the last one of the year at Moretz Stadium for the Bears.  Lees-McRae, meanwhile, hosts Queens on Friday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
