Bob McKillop To Be Keynote Speaker At Lenoir-Rhyne’s PEF/Bears Club Board Of Trustees Dinner

Davidson Head Men’s Basketball Coach to speak at Lake Hickory Country Club on Tuesday, August 5

Hickory, N.C. – Davidson College Head Men’s Basketball Coach Bob McKillop will be the keynote speaker at the 2008 Piedmont Educational Foundation/Bears Club Board Of Trustees Dinner on Tuesday, August 5, at the Lake Hickory Country Club in Hickory, N.C.

McKillop just finished his 19th season as Wildcat mentor and led this year’s team to the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament Elite Eight, falling just short of advancing to the Final Four. Due to this stellar season, McKillop was named the NABC National Coach Of The Year.

The 2007-08 Davidson squad, led by All-American Stephen Curry, finished with a 29-7 record overall and a perfect 20-0 mark in the Southern Conference en route to the league tournament championship. The Wildcats also finished ninth nationally in the final ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll.

McKillop has compiled a 340-225 mark with the Wildcats and has won seven Southern Conference Coach-Of-The-Year honors.
