Lenoir-Rhyne's Brian Dice Earns All-State Honors In Baseball

Hickory, N.C. - Lenoir-Rhyne University's Brian Dice has been named to the 2010 North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) All-State College Division Baseball Team.
Dice, a junior from Hickory, N.C., earned a spot on the all-state squad as the designated hitter.
Dice led Lenoir-Rhyne in several offensive categories this year including batting average (.435), hits (74), runs batted in (59), total bases (137) and slugging percentage (.806).
Dice, who also played catcher and first base for the Bears in 2010, hit 16 home runs on the year and put together a 22-game hitting streak.
Dice has been named to the All-South Atlantic Conference First Team and the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) NCAA Division II All-Southeast Region Second Team this season as well.
Founded in 2002, NCCSIA is comprised of sports information professionals from North Carolina’s NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA and independent institutions for the purpose of promoting college athletics in the state. Membership is open to anyone affiliated with a college, university or conference located in North Carolina whose responsibilities include sports information.
NCCSIA selects all-state teams in the university (NCAA Division I) and college (Division II, III, NAIA, NCCAA) divisions for women’s volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, softball and baseball. Over 600 student-athletes have been recognized on all-state teams since 2003.
